natural disasters

the other half of life as we know

adds time to existence

that we thought we never had

shrouded in universal darkness

waiting for the enemy

to open our gifts of survival

that govern us when we’re alone

old moments worth the price

of seconds battling to be spent twice

falling from the sky & into the sea

reflect the past & who you want to be

at the moment when you want to cry

don’t get swept away by

natural disasters

or scoff at the stones thrown

into the heart of men-made cyclones

perfectly timed & oscillating in space

only to disappear without a trace

sparking a never-ending search

transforming into sacred research

memories of dying tidal waves

soon override the light that saves
